Kevin Jorgeson Completes Third-Ever Ascent of v14 Boulder Problem

August 24th, 2007 - Kevin Jorgeson is the third person to ascend Ode to the Modern Man (v14) in Mount Evans, Colorado. Jorgeson completed the 20-foot tall bouldering problem in two days, making it the quickest ascent thus far. Widely considered one of the most difficult boulders in Colorado, only two other climbers have ever successfully ascended Ode to the Modern Man: Daniel Woods in September, 2006 and Tyler Landman in May, 2007.

Jorgeson is a Marmot Athlete based out of Santa Rosa, CA. In addition to Ode to the Modern Man, he has completed several other successful boulder ascents among them First Ascents of The Beautiful and the Damned (v13) and Flight of the Bumblebee (v7) and Third Ascent of Hearun and the Sea of Stories (v12).
